|Project Title||Public Sentinel Training at Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research|
Thursday, April 11, 2019
The FDA Sentinel Initiative and the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research are hosting a free one-day training on Sentinel’s Cohort Identification and Descriptive Analysis (CIDA) tool. CIDA is a flexible SAS-based analytic tool that can identify and extract cohorts of interest from data in the Sentinel Common Data Model format. It has been used in hundreds of FDA-initiated requests that have supported medical product safety assessments.
This full-day training will be comprised of a series of presentations and hands-on exercises exploring CIDA’s capabilities. We will review multiple requester-defined options (e.g., exposures, outcomes, continuous enrollment requirements, incidence criteria, inclusion/exclusion criteria, relevant age groups and demographic criteria such as sex and race) and guide participants through hands-on exercises on how to answer epidemiologic questions using the tool.
Registration for all attendees is required.
