Summary table assessment of the prevalence of hip implant procedures and diagnoses in the Mini-Sentinel Distributed Database (ICD-9-CM [International Classification of Diseases, 9th Revision, Clinical Modification] Diagnosis Codes 996.4, 81.51-81.53, 00.74-00.77 and HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System) codes 27090, 27091, 27125, 27130, 27132, 27134, 27127, 27138. Results were generated using the Mini-Sentinel Distributed Query Tool and the HCPCS Summary Table, the ICD-9-CM 4-digit diagnosis codes Summary Table, and the ICD-9-CM 4-digit procedure codes Summary Table. Summary tables are precompiled stratified counts. Queries were run in the inpatient setting. Queries were executed in July 2011. This report includes data from 14 Data Partners.
