    Description

Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is a life-threatening complication of type 1 diabetes (T1D). However, there is a paucity of information in the literature describing the risk of DKA in patients with T1D with different chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages. Using data from 683,436 T1D patients in the FDA’s Sentinel System from 2013 through 2024, this study described patient characteristics and estimated DKA incidence by CKD stage using a validated claims-based algorithm. This poster was presented at the 2025 ISPE Annual Meeting.
