    Description

Data in the electronic health record (EHR) such as medication administrations and laboratory results are often captured in proprietary or non-standard formats and must be harmonized and mapped to reference terminologies before they can be used for research or regulatory analysis. This project has developed procedures to investigate the mappings of several structured EHR data domains, specifically laboratory results and medication orders and administrations (inpatient and outpatient), and to characterize the severity of any issues. This project has also developed standardized queries that examine data in these domains across time, care setting and provenance to identify potential quality issues.
